01. Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

The Louisiana Museum is not exactly located in Copenhagen, but approx. 35 minutes away by train and it’s a must to visit. Here you will experience art from every corner of the world, including Picasso and Warhol. The building itself is a work of art! The museum is located at Gammel Strandvej 13, 3060 Humlebæk. The opening hours are currently Tuesday-Friday 11-22 and Saturday-Sunday 11-18 (closed on Mondays). Youngsters under the age of 18 have free entrance. 03. Design Werck

If you are a sucker for Nordic design this is the place to be! Design Werck is a meeting point and showroom for talented Scandinavian designers. You will be introduced to up-and-coming designers, craftsmen and architects, and you will be able to admire the very established brands and superstars from the Nordic countries. You can even spot some of the ENIITO designers there, for instance Møbel og Rum and Dögg Design . Heck, if it’s good enough for the Danish Crown Prince and princess to go, it’s good enough for us! Design Werck is located at Krudtløbsvej 12, 1439 Copenhagen K. The current opening hours are Wednesday-Thursday 12-18 and Saturday-Sunday 12-17 (closed Monday-Tuesday).

A crafts and design exhibition & market for Danish art pieces held in Hundested (north to Copenhagen). The exhibition is being held in old boat halls where creativity is let loose. More than 50 mini-exhibitions is held by designers who wants to show the world their work. There are many entertaining workshops as well for kids who wants to create something special. 05. Design Museum Denmark

Of course we need to mention the Design Museum Denmark for the person who can’t get enough of Danish design. Just to mention a few, there is a permanent exhibition about Danish fashion and textile and a showcase of all the most important chair designs through Danish history. The museum really tells the story of how Danish design grew to gain international success, which we call Danish Modern. The museum is located very central in Copenhagen at Bredgade 68, 1260 København K. The entrance is free if you are a student (remember your student ID) or younger than 26 years old, otherwise the price is 115 kr. 06. Arken

Arken is a museum for modern art located in Ishøj (south to Copenhagen). The building itself is super beautiful and what is found inside is even more amazing! It is one of Denmarks newest museums and covers more than 400 art pieces. The art is primarily Nordic and from the period after 1990. There are some really interesting exhibitions at the moment and from the 1st of September there will be a whole exhibition dedicated to Vincent van Gogh – find more information about the exhibitions at Arken here. The opening hours are tuesday-sunday 10-17, wednesdays 10-21, mondays are closed.
